AOL's eAddress campaign was about helping people create personalized email addresses that showed off their passions. Our objective was to create a fun and unique experience behind each interest that made the connection.

Challenge

AOL approached A Brand New Way with the goal of building awareness for their newly launched Personalized eAddress campaign. These email address were free and easy to start using. With many domain names like DogPeopleRule.com and MusicFan.com, AOL was giving people the chance to show off their passions.

Strategy

AOL's eAddress project consisted of a large selection of domains that people could pick from. Each domain would theme the microsite with a unique and interactive experience.

Are you an avid golfer? A dog lover? A gamer? Connect with everything that you're into here, and see how you can share those interests as simply as by sending an email.

Execution

The focus was to create a clear user path that helped visitors learn about the offering, and quickly get on their way to using their new email address. Creating a single microsite, we would determine where the user was coming from, and design the page to theme itself based on his or her interests. As domains were added and removed it simply be a matter of swapping out those themes to provide a fully customized experience.
