I Love A Good Audit
Bringing love and excitement to... accounting?
Approva approached A Brand New Way to spearhead the ideation and creation of the interactive online component of their new I Love a Good Audit campaign. The campaign included a series of viral projects that connected with users in ways unprecedented in their industry.
Challenge
The purpose of I Love a Good Audit was to connect with a segment of their market that is usually forgotten about, but has the most to gain from using Approva products. "I love a good audit" is a statement that people can identify with -- particularly accountants and auditors. So how do we take a typically mundane industry, and flip it on it's head?
Strategy
A Brand New Way created a series of light-hearted Valentine Day cards that visitors could select from, and send along to a friend or colleague. The goal was to promote the site to the very untapped market when it comes to non-traditional marketing campaigns - CPA firms and accounting departments of private organizations. Right in the middle of tax season accountants get a chance to take a break and get a laugh in the middle of those long days.
Execution
The viral site launched on February 14 - Valentine's Day just before open of business in Europe, and was sent out to a small segment of the Approva partner and client list. Within hours the over 3,000 cards had already been sent out.
The site eventually made it's way out of the accounting world and allowed the site to do what viral sites are made to do. Introduce Approva's new I Love a Good Audit campaign to a wide audience in a way that connected in more ways than a data sheet could ever do, and a potentially introduce the company to new group of clients that could benefit from their services.
